so i recently made the best decision in months which was finally stop distro-hopping (even though i didnt but i was never happy with ubuntu) and stick with one and only - NixOS

man what can i say about NixOS, you can literally declare your entire OS in some .nix files like that seemed crazy and exactly what i wanted with my Linux OS - Controllable, lean and NixOS seemed to fit all of those criterias

another thing that nixos did for me is that when i initially switched to NixOS, i was on my temporary computer so i was worried that i would setup everything in my ubuntu and then have to redo it all over agian in the new computer but thats no longer an issue with NixOS

considering the functionality and the eco system of Nix, i decided to learn all about it and its language so i found this online “book” https://nixos-and-flakes.thiscute.world/ and it is created by a asian guy and i honestly love it as it is straight to the point, teaches you not only the bits of Nix but also the common and proven ways people design their nixos setups

i am excited to complete it, i have completed the basic Nix Language and i am on the flakes section and NixOS has been the most fun distro to use till now
